Don’t assume that longer websites are better

Longer pages can lead to confusion and frustration as users struggle to find the information they are looking for. Hotel websites should provide all relevant information in a logical and straightforward manner, e.g. descriptions of amenities, room types, rates, contact information, etc., without overwhelming the reader with an excessive amount of content.

Ultimately, shorter web pages lead to higher user activity, as visitors can quickly find what they need without having to wade through endless amounts of text.

Don’t focus exclusively on your products or services

Websites for hotels should also include content that is relevant to the hotel and its location. This can include blog posts, events and activities in the area, interesting facts about the city or region and other information that helps visitors get to know your establishment better.

Don’t forget to include clear calls to action

Marketing for hotels also involves providing website visitors with opportunities. Make sure you include clear and concise calls-to-actions (CTAs) on your website. Hotel websites should have multiple CTAs so that users can easily find out how to book a room or contact you. Make sure all buttons and links are clearly labelled and placed prominently on the page.

Do not write for search engines

Hotel websites should provide valuable and meaningful content for their readers and not just be designed for search engines. If you write quality content that is specific to your audience, your website will be both informative and engaging.
