If you’ve seen A Chorus Line, you know not everyone’s lower out for the Great White Way. And however, Weezer is feeling a single singular sensation: disappointment.
The band had planned a residency in September at the Broadway Theater, digging up outdated Weezer classics alongside with tunes from their seasonal SZNZ EPs across 5 nights. But alas, the Weezer Hive failed to create up sufficient buzz for the shows.

Rivers Cuomo and his mustache sent out a concept by way of the band’s Discord asserting the end of their Broadway desires.
“I just discovered that our Broadway shows have been cancelled (owing to very low ticket sales and unbelievably significant fees.) I’m extremely sorry to be telling you this now after we have presently invested so substantially time, considered, and emotion,” Cuomo wrote. “Additional apologies to all those of you who cleared schedules and designed journey options to be with us. Many thanks to @Broadway Producer for all your really hard function and excellent suggestions. I beloved in which we were likely and I hope we can find a way to resurrect our vision.”
